The Mayorazgo Weather Forecast
The kids of 1º de ESO have become weather men and
women and got inside the TV for this task. The children read us information
about the weather for different countries around the globe, from England to the
United States to Australia and France.
Just like watching television, there were also breaks
for advertisements in between the weather forecasts and the children took it in
turns to sell their products, taken from English commercials, such as Penguins,
Creme Eggs and PG Tips!
They have learnt very specific vocabulary and useful
expressions to talk about the weather in this activity as well as speaking in
front of a camera/on the television! This was used as a pre-task as a means of
warming up for the next task which is a visit to the Natural History Museum.
